We are pleased to introduce Elsey, she is a 5 year old purebred Maltese. Elsey came to our rescue as breeder release. Elsey is a little shy at first but warms up relatively quickly. She does great with the other dogs in her foster home, enjoys playing with squeaky toys and running around and playing outside in a fenced in backyard. We feel that young energetic children would be a little nerve wracking for Elsey and that she would prefer a home with older children. Elsey would do great in a home with or without other dogs. She will need a home with a fenced in backyard where she can run around and lay in the sun; Elsey is not fond of the leash and is still working on leash training with her foster. She will require a home with an adopter who is at home more than not; ideally not left alone more than 4 hours per day, as she has separation anxiety; she also prefers females and can be nervous around men. She has not been exposed to cats however we do not foresee any problems. We are currently accepting adoption applications at this time.
