Winter Willow Is a 6 year old purebred female Shih Tzu. She recently came to our rescue as a breeder release. She is very timid and shy with humans at this point; Winter does great with other dogs and trusts them more so than humans. She is doing exceptionally well with housetraining and scratches at the door when she needs to go outside. She is still in the process of learning leash training, at this point she is still very scared of the leash, her foster is continually working with Winter to overcome this fear. She does great with going outside in a fenced yard, and she enjoys running around outside with the other resident dogs in her foster home. Winter is still currently afraid to go up and down stairs. She is crate trained. She is excellent with gentle children and cats, but she does not like to be carried or cuddled. We will require a home for Willow that has with another dog and a fenced yard. She is not quite ready for adoption at this time, as she is has not been spayed yet and she is still working on overcoming her fear of humans, however we are currently accepting and reviewing adoption applications for her. We are hoping that we can find Winter Willow a home with companion dog, that will be able to help her come out of her shell and learn that it's okay to trust.
