PENDING ADOPTION 

Meet Shelby, she is a 11 month old female Yorkipoo. Shelby came to our rescue as an owner surrender, unfortunately she needed to find a new home as her owner passed away. Shelby is a typical active, energetic, vocal puppy. We have yet to find a toy that Shelby doesn't like. Shelby does also seem to enjoy warm cuddles on the sofa with or without companionship. Shelby is still in the process of learning crate and leash training, however she is doing well with it. She is still in process with housebreaking as she is a puppy and needs consistency with training and to be offered frequent trips outside. We feel Shelby is not suited for apartment living as she is very vocal and she is also a flight risk, therefore she will require a home with a secure fully fenced in yard. Shelby does well with older children that are able to understand and respect boundaries, as she does not like her paws touched. Shelby has nipped at her foster when trying to handle her paws. She does enjoy being around other dogs, however having another dog in the household is not a requirement. She does have grooming requirements and interested adopters should be aware of these breed specific requirements. Shelby is not quite ready for adoption, as she has not yet been spayed. Her alter appointment is scheduled for the beginning of April.
