Meet Toby Joe! He is a roughly 9-year-old purebred Pug. He is crate trained (however he doesn’t love being in his crate), walks on a leash wonderfully and is completely potty trained. He enjoys going for walks, but prefers when it is cooler out, as he gets overheated very easily. He is extremely overweight for a pug weighing around 38 pounds when we rescued him. He is down to roughly 34 pounds now! He is on a health quest to reduce his weight to live a long and healthy life. He has been going for 2-3 walks a day for about 1-3 blocks each time. Toby Joe is very attentive and loves to follow you around the house and get as close as possible for snuggles. He is currently eating a mixture of senior food and weight reduction food. He has done very well with children and other dogs. He has not been around cats. Toby Joe will need to continue his medication for ringworm (medicated baths and oral pills), his eye antibiotic and will continuously need eye drops/lubricant for a possible diagnosis of chronic dry eye. This sweet boy will make a wonderful addition to your household. He truly is the best dog ever!
