Hi I’m Raya! I just like to smile, smiling’s my favorite! I am a ten year old brindle pug mix (possibly part miniature pincher or Chihuahua, maybe Italian greyhound!). I was found abandoned as a stray and I am so happy to be a part of Buffalo Pugs. I am the sweetest girl ever and my foster mama loves my constant smile! I love to run outside chasing a ball or my foster brothers around the yard. I also like chewing bones. But my absolute favorite thing is snuggling and belly rubs! I can’t get enough! Sometimes I even hold your hand to my belly when you stop petting me so you have to continue. Once you become my person I am your little shadow and I want to be with you all the time. I get along well with other dogs and with children, especially if they give me treats. I am food motivated (I am part pug after all!) and take treats very gently. I am crate trained but would love to sleep with you at night. My foster mom leaves me out of the crate during the day, and I do just fine! I am potty trained but please expect some accidents while I get used to you and your routine. I am defensive of my home when men enter and will bark at them for some time. My foster mom believes that I may have been hurt by men is the past as I do not have the same reaction to strange women in my house. I am not defensive meeting strangers outside the home, I just want to protect my people and my pack. My foster mom is working on this with me and is confident that with enough love, kindness and patience from men, I can overcome my fears. My ideal home would be someone who works from home or is even retired so we can spend all day together! If you are looking for a little snuggle bug, please fill out an application!
