Dixie is a 7 month old Pomeranian/Schippere mix who is looking for a active home to take her on walks and play with her toys with her. Did we mention toys? She adores any squeaky toy and can often be catch throwing them in the air to play if no humans are available. When humans do play with her, she tends to use her teeth (non aggressively) and that is being worked on in her foster home. She doesn't bite down but you will feel her teeth graze your knuckles.

She had a incident in her original home where the resident child stepped on her leg and broke it. Dixie is now leary of small children, but children over 10 will be fine. 
She does have some food aggression that is being worked on in her foster home- she will need to be fed separately and once finished her bowl can then be retirieved to wash. She was taken away from her mom at the young age of 5 weeks and was malnourished, so she is learning that food will always be available still. 
She has done amazing in her foster home with the resident dogs. However she has shown interest in the resident cat, so a cat free home will be needed. She adores car rides and toy shopping of course! She loves to stroll the aisle and pick her favorite toy- she will gaze into your eyes and hypnotize you to purchase it.
She also loves walks and learning how to walk a straight line on a leash. She had a grade 3 luxating patella that doenst seem to affect her at all and no surgery is required.

Dixie lived 6 months with no other dogs in the house and she self entertained. She has lived in her foster home with multiple dogs and has done great. So she can be a pack member addition or a only dog home.
