Meet Orzo! He is a 6-month-old Newfoundland/Poodle mix aka a Newfypoo. He is crate trained, walks on a leash quite well, and is almost completely potty trained. He enjoys going for walks, but prefers when it is cooler out, as he gets overheated very easily. His favorite thing to do during the day, if he’s not snoozing in front of the AC, is to pull every toy he can out of the toy bin! He is very food motivated and has learned sit, down, “paw” on both feet, and is working on stay. He eats every kibble from his dinner and loves to have fresh water available. He may have an allergy to chicken, so we have transitioned him to a lamb-based diet and non-poultry-based treats. He is doing fine since the adjustment. He will need to be groomed regularly and did exceptionally well at his first appointment. He is nervous about getting into vehicles, but once he is in the car he rides pretty well. Orzo is such a good boy and will make a wonderful addition to any family. He is great with kids of all ages, but he will be big so older children may be better. He loves other dogs of all sizes and does not appear to be bothered by cats.
