::::::::zzzzZZZZzzzz:::::::: ::yawn:: Hi ya'll, I'm Maxwell. I'm an old dude who enjoys mid-day siestas, heck, who am I kidding? I like all-day and all-night siestas. And snacks. Naps and snacks. Ah, well that's enough for today, I'm going to let my foster mom take it from here. :::pug circles::: ::::zzzZZZZ::::

Maxwell arrived into rescue after what we believe to have been a situation in which his owner went into an assisted living facility. Maxwell's care was entrusted to a family member who wasn't up to the task. He was said to be around 10 years old, but lack of preventative care all along makes him an old "10." He no longer sees and doesn't hear, but manages to romp around the house just fine - as long as you keep everything in the same place. Pugs are well known to adapt to the detriments of age. He eats well and is fed Orijen Senior to keep his ears in check. Like some other pugs, he's prone to ear build up and is quite the curmudgeon for routine ear (and nail) maintenance. He gets along just fine with his foster siblings - two large and two small breeds - and the resident cat. He walks well on a leash, but is content wandering the fenced backyard until he does his business. On that note - that's a work in progress. Like most seniors - as long as you follow a routine, accidents in the house are minimal. He's a sweet dude who is looking for a permanent address, specifically one in which treats are plentiful and the dog beds soft. His foster home is a bit busier than he'd like, but he's welcome to stay as long as possible until he finds a forever retirement home.

His adoption donation is sponsored.
