but my foster family calls me Eleanor or Ellie for short. Don’t worry if that sounds confusing because I don’t answer to any name anyway. You see I’m part hound and I like to be independent even if that means being outside, rain or shine for hours at a time because I pretend that I can’t hear my foster parents calling me to come in. I don’t really bark or howl so you wouldn’t even know I was outside! This also equates to me being not so good on a leash as I just want to do my own thing. I am about 50% food motivated but only for certain treats, I’m kinda picky. I love to be outside just watching the birds, swimming in my dog pool, playing with toys or racing, and wrestling with my foster sister. I am a sensitive girl who had a rough start so I need someone willing to be patient with me and only use positive reinforcement so I don’t shut down. It takes me awhile to trust people but when I do I’m sweet, silly, and just a cuddly girl. I am excellent in my crate (when I go in there, which I do not enjoy) and I am working on potty training but am doing great with my routine. I love kids of all ages (as long as they are respectful or supervised to not hurt me), other dogs as I am on the submissive side, and cats! I get along great with my crazy foster sister who has helped me to gain some more confidence so a younger dog friend would be excellent to run around with as exercise!
