Mirage is a 3 year old French Bulldog who was released to rescue when she had IVDD(slipped disc in her back) and had lost use of her hind legs. She was placed into a wheelchair and physical therapy and acupuncture was started. She has since recovered use of her hind legs and is loving life! She has a luxating patella on her one rear legs that causes her no pain- just gives her a swag to her walk. She gets along with dogs of all genders and sizes- as long as they like to ply bitey face. She can be a bit of toy hoarder- so if another dog in the house it would need to be a submissive one when it comes to toys(squeaky toys are her absolute favorite) She can be a vocal girl who will bark if she is not with her human- so a home that rents may not be the best match for her. Due to her IVDD diagnosis she will require a special home with the following: -No small kids under the age of 5 as they may be too rough with her -a home with limited steps to help prevent another flare up of her back - someone who is home majority of the time as she does suffer from separation anxiety - a home that will supply doggie steps for her to get on the couch with you (she adores snuggling and stealing your couch blankets) - Someone who will continue potty training her, you will need to physically go outside with her while she potties(yes she adores us humans that much) - Finally, a home that understands she could have IVDD flare ups in the future, so all precautions should be taken to prevent this and also have funds available for physical therapy in the event this may happen down the road Mirage is a clinger to her humans! She will climb into your lap or even snuggle behind you on the couch. She is a absolute sweetheart who deserves the absolute perfect home to call her very own!
