This is Gustav (or Gus for short), a 16lb 1 year old male Miniature Pinscher. Gustav is a breeder surrender and is still getting used to being around people. He alternates between sweet and affectionate and nervous and skittish,. Once he warms up to you, you’ll have a friend and snuggle buddy for life. He tends to prefer women but can warm up to men. He will require patience at first, as he gets used to new people and a new environment. He can be extremely vocal when he’s unhappy, but other than that he’s not much of a barker, whiner or growler. He still has a lot of puppy energy and curiosity and is getting better and better on a leash. He likes to play, will be happy to go on long walks with you, and is also content to hang out with you at quieter times. He’s well on his way to being housetrained, but patience (and regular trips outside) will be critical to his success. He’s very comfortable in his carrier. He’s likely to do better in a home with older children. Will get along with other dogs, cats are unknown. Fosters are working on the basic commands. Gustav will be ready for adoption at the end of August/early September but is currently accepting applications!
