Posie is a 5 year old Morkie (yorkie/maltese) girl weighing in at only at 5.8 pounds. Posie came into rescue as a breeder release who was scared of human touch. She is learning that humans are loving and give some pretty awesome treats!

She is being fostered in a home with small and large dogs as well as cats with no issues. She loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, and shows them that although small she is mighty! When it comes to humans, she will still shy away but will follow them throughout the house.

She has been fine with kids, but does avoid interaction with them. Due to her small stature, children over five would be best.

She is pee pad trained, but will potty outside if you catch her in time. She will not bark to tell you she has to potty, but will bark when you come in the door  and when she wants food.

She is learning to walk on a leash, although she has made progress, this training will need to be continued in her forever home. A fenced in yard is preferred because she is still leery of humans.

This girl will flourish in a forever home and will soon be a lap dog if you are patient. If you are looking for a real gem who just needs a little polishing- Posie is your girl!
