Hidalgo is a typical chihuahua, for those who don't know what that means exactly allow us to explain. He is shy around new people at first but once he warms up to you he will be your shadow. He is extremely loyal to his person/people. Not to say he doesn't like others, just that he will be very vocal until he is assured they are ok. He has a lot of bark in his little body but a lot of love and snuggles too. Hidalgo is 7 years old and still in the prime of his life. He gets along well with other dogs and children (cats unknown). He is almost 100% house broken and can also use pee pads indoors. He does still mark his territory from time to time but that has decreased significantly since his neuter and acceptance with his surroundings. He is comfortable wearing a harness and is getting the hang of walking on a leash. He's still timid in large unfamiliar areas and tends to stop and prefers to be held sometimes (back to the typical chihuahua behavior referenced earlier) he has a beautiful, soft, long coat and loves lap sitting and pets.
