Alice Kingsleigh made it to New York all the way from Aruba! She was brought back by one of our volunteers though ARF (Animal Relief Fund of Aruba) and is an Aruban Cunucu. Her chances of adoption are much greater here in the states. Though not a recognized breed by the AKC they are very well known to locals. Cunucus range in size from 20 to 50lbs on average and are athletic, energetic sighthounds who hunted alongside the Arawak people indigenous to the area. Alice is 4 months old and a happy healthy puppy, curious and full of energy. She is working hard on house training and gets along great with dogs of all sizes as well as children. She has not been around cats yet but nothing in her demeanor suggests she’d be aggressive towards them. Cunucus are loyal, loving and can be a bit “clingy”. Alice is no exception she loves to be around everyone but is defiantly her foster dad’s shadow. She is such a sweet little pup and needs a family of her own to grow and flourish with. Please consider opening up your home and your heart & adopting Alice.
