Rusty is a 7 year old Mini poodle who was returned to the rescue recently. His family has a toddler and Rusty was used to getting all the attention for over three years. He started showing signs of jealousy which escalated as time went on. Now a second baby is on the way and the family fears he will become aggressive.
Rusty has been with his foster family for two weeks and has gotten along very well with the two female dogs living in the home. There are four adults as well and he makes the rounds to get attention from everyone.
Due to his behavior we feel it is better for Rusty to be adopted by a single person or a retired couple who don't have small children visiting frequently.
His previous owner did inform us of that Rusty experiences minor seizures 3-4 times a year. He actually had one a few hours after moving into his foster home, it involved trembling and drooling for 2-3 minutes. Once that stopped he got up and acted as if nothing had happened.
He forms attachments very quickly to the people around him. He has so much love to give and craves it in return. He is a very special boy. If you feel you could give Rusty the home, he deserves, fill out an application today!
