Ellie Mae is a 6 year old pure bred Shihtzu who was recently release from breeding.  Since she's been in her foster home, her tail has not stopped wagging.  She has started playing with toys and is amazed by the space in the backyard and can't stop running and checking it out.  She is a very quiet girl, does not mind being in her crate and sleeps in there overnight, although she would do just as fine in a big bed.  Ellie is somewhat dog selective and we are trying to figure this out now - she seems to be possessive about her toys and treats so she may need to be an only dog in the home.  She is housebroken and can go up and down stairs.  She will be ready for adoption at the beginning of October.  If you are interested in meeting her, fill out an application today!
