Ferguson aka “Fergie” is a 4-year-old male black pug, with a few special requirements. He loves to snuggle both humans, and dogs. His favorite thing in the world is meal time, followed by playing tug with his foster parents’ pug. Fergie needs to go to a family with another dog, as it helps make him comfortable. Fergie does not show well when you first meet him and he is very skeptical and skittish. He is a flight risk so he needs a tall fenced in yard. (where the fence is secure on the bottom) However, once he’s comfortable he is the absolute best! He will need someone who is patient, but he is worth it – we promise! He is still working on potty training, and does poop in the house on occasion. Due to his history of pooping in the house (never pee) we are looking to have someone who is home often/WFH/retired so he doesn’t regress. (and if he does, someone who is willing to work with him) He can be barky at times, but is also receptive to redirection and will stop when asked or given a toy. He has alopecia, and a few little bald spots. Fergie was diagnosed with anaplasmosis, (bacterial tickborne blood disease) which he is being treated, and will likely have no future issues per the vet. He used to live with 2 cats, and a toddler so he is good with both cats and kids. If you feel like Fergie would be a good fit in your family, please fill out an application today!
