Introducing Mariah, who we call Mimi!  She is a 6-year-old purebred Shihtzu breeder release who is now free from neglect and thriving in her foster home. She is still fearful at times but is getting better at letting you pick her up and is starting to love a warm lap and bed. Mimi loves to run around the yard with her foster sisters and has been doing great with her housebreaking - she now goes to the door to go out.  We are working on her leash training but right now a fenced in yard is a preference for her.  Mimi is crate trained and does sleep in a crate at night but would do just as well in a bed. She has started having fun playing with toys and getting the zoomies.  Mimi will need to go to a home with a  small dog to continue to show her the ropes.  She will be ready for adoption in February.  If you are interested in meeting her, put in an application today!
