Sebastian can be slow to warm up to people, this is due to his mistrust and fear of strangers. once he knows you he is the sweetest dog and will let you cuddle and kiss him to pieces, in fact he will do it to you first. He came to us from a shelter, dumped by the only family he's ever known, along with his mate and daughter, who were adopted out without him. No wonder this beautiful dog is so mistrustful and frightened. At the shelter he fell apart, and was scared out of his mind. It would have been nearly impossible to find him a new home, so they called us. Now his foster Mom says he loving and lets the immediate family do anything to him. Sebastian loves his foster family unconditionally. He's just a little Romeo at home. He is nuts for his toys, loves to play and get treats. There is absolutely no aggression to his family. He will however snap at strangers. Since he is so mistrustful with unknown people, it best for him to be introduced to new people on his terms. If they don't pay attention to Sebastian at first, he does not feel nervous. Once he accepts you, knows you're not a threat, he's fine. He loves other dogs and will play with them and even share his crate. This little dog has been so distraught about losing his family, he needs some understanding and patience.
