The beginning of Booda's story...Booda is being fostered with Buffalo Pug and Small Breed Rescue. Boo was a result of an irresponsible backyard breeder. Because of a congenital malformation the breeder was going to get rid of him. A nice man bought him to save him and then realized how much care Boo would need and reached out to the rescue for help He was 12wks. old when his new life began. ðŸ˜
Booda went for an MRI and a radiograph of his hips. He was diagnosed as having Spina Bifida. He has malformed vertebrae and part of his spinal cord is looped and pinched between 2 sides of one of his vertebra. Unfortunately there is no surgery that will "fix" the problem. He also has severe hip dysplagia which causes him to have difficulty controlling his back legs. There are a couple of surgical options that could possibly prevent his conditions from getting worse, but the surgeries themselves are not without risks. He has no control over his bowel or bladder and will have to wear diapers for the rest of his life. He needs special care to prevent and treat skin breakdown on his diaper area and because of the way he walks, on his hind feet. Also needs a controlled diet. We wish the news was better for this little guy but right now he is a happy, healthy puppy that truly enjoys life. We will do everything in our power to keep Boo's best interest at heart. He didn't ask for this.. he is an inspiration and a joy to everyone that meets him. Our promise to him is, that he will have the best life that we can give him. He is our special little Boo â¤â¤
