This handsome sable colored IG boy is Tony. He is just as sweet as his photos make him look and will be a great addition to any family.
Italian Greyhounds are a wonderful breed, but are best with breed knowledgeable homes. They are fragile and need lots of love, attention and handling. Tony has been wonderful in his foster home and his house manners are good. If he has had accidents, they are always near the door, indicating that he is trying to go outside and knows that is the place to go. He's good on a leash and loves to go for rides and visiting. He loves people and is doing well with the other dog in his foster home. He's a love sponge and prefers sleeping under your covers or on your pillow. He's a great snuggler and is also very playful and enjoys a good game of catch. Meet Como! He is a happy go lucky neutered male beagle mix. His people originally adopted him from the pound but he was surrendered because he turned out to be younger and more active than they were expecting. The veterinarian thinks he is around a year old and he is all up to date on his medical care. He is a sweet young man who quickly settled into his foster home. He knows his name, the sit command and is learning some other basic obedience commands.
Como gets along great with young dogs his size who like to play and is learning to respect the older dog’s wishes to be left alone. He is learning about cats but at this point I would recommend a cat free home. He would do well in a multi-dog home or with someone who is not gone for long hours. He doesn't like to be left alone and really doesn't enjoy being crated. He has had some bad past crate issues so presently he is in a small area with an open crate, his bed and toys. He appears to be pretty well housetrained with only a few accidents since he's been with his foster family.
Due to his youthful exuberance, Como would do best in an active home with older children and since beagles are driven by instinct to follow their noses, he needs to be securely contained in his yard. He would make a great agility dog due to his small size, quickness and jumping skills. We are happy to introduce Lucky Lucy! She came in as dog ID number 777, so we figure that makes her lucky, and we are hoping that will also bring her luck in finding the perfect new forever home.
Lucy is a beautiful, 4 1/2 year old pure Boston Terrier. She is house trained, knows basic obedience commands and is completely vetted. She is a dominant female and, due to a very bad experience in her past with a large dog, she is fearful aggressive of other dogs and strangers. Lucy would do best as an only dog, or with another submissive dog that will let her be the alpha of the pack. She seems to like the company of children, but due to her fearfulness, it would be best for her new family to have no children or those over 8 or 10. Her foster home has a young teenage boy who Lucy just loves, so older kids would be ok for her. Sweet little Angel here was adopted from us three years ago and sadly had to be returned due to allergies a child in her home has to her. She is now about 6 years old and it has been sad for her to have to be separated from her family, so we are anxious to find her a forever home that won't ever have to let her go.

This is sweet Solomon! Sadly, Solomon and Champ found themselves in a Kentucky shelter after their person was killed in a car accident. We are happy to try to help them find a forever home here in New York and make sure that they are never alone again.
Solomon is a great dog, loves everyone, is crate trained and is doing very well with his house training. He's not quite 100% reliable yet, but he's getting there! Solomon does ok with other dogs, but is a bit jealous and probably wouldn't mind one bit if he was an only dog. He's good with cats and loves all humans, but would probably do best with no children or older ones who wouldn't make him nervous. This great looking Black Lab boy is Hondo. He is a bit larger than our standard, but he and six others from Kentucky needed our help so we made exception for him!
Hondo is really an awesome dog. We don't know his background, but he is very thin so we are working to fatten him up some. As thin as he is, he still weighs in around 65 lbs, so we think he will go over 70 lbs at ideal weight. He is doing very well in his foster home and is quickly learning the routines and his manners. He is good with the other dogs and loves all people he meets. He seems a bit curious about cats and will bark at them. Meet Miley, a most lovely beagle girl who just came to us as from a shelter as a stray. She is a beautiful girl and is ready to go to her forever home and family.
Miley is good with everyone but would do best in a home with children older than 5! She loves dogs and children and even cats. She seems a little shy of men initially, but once she gets comfortable around them she loves them too. This adorable, sweet, black puggy girl is Pepper. She was transferred to us by a wonderful rescuer who did not have the resources to help her with her medical needs. This sweet girl had some of the worst breathing issues we have ever seen, and she required laser surgery to shorten her palate as well as surgery to open her nostrils. We were happy to be able to take her in and help her get the surgeries she needed to live a long, happy life.
Pepper has now had her surgeries and is recovering well. She still has some follow-up appointments, but is well on her way to breathing easy and living normally. We are very pleased with her progress and are now ready to consider applications for her adoption. Pepper is as sweet as can be and gets along with everyone. She is a typical pug queen and wants to be with her people wherever they are. She is house trained and very well behaved in her foster home. We know that neither of the breeds we think Diesel might be mixed with are remotely "small", but we didn't want to see this poor boy end up at a shelter, or worse so we agreed to take him and find him the proper, forever home! Diesel is 10-12 months old, has just been neutered and is ready to come home!
Diesel started out fearful when he first came to us, but with love, patience, understanding and exercise, he is doing much better and is much more relaxed and trusting. He loves to play with other dogs and children, but due to his size and youthful exuberance, it would be best if he was in a home with older children that he can't knock over. His foster dad takes him running for three miles every day and he LOVES that, so plenty of exercise is a necessity for this boy to be really happy. He is fully house and crate trained and behaves very well in his crate.
